Locking & Unlocking

Follow the steps below to lock and unlock your suitcase. To learn how to change the lock combination please scroll further down.

Two orientations

Every suitcase equipped with Eminent Disktec locks features two locks which are attached to the frame.

The locks open to the outside as illustrated above.

Default combination

Upon delivery both locks are set to the default combination 0-0-0.

Opening the lock

On each lock you will find an arrow indicating in which direction the lock can be opened. Simply turn the lock into this direction to open it.

Setting the lock code

We are very glad that you have chosen an Eminent suitcase. Follow the instructions below to set up a lock combination of your choice or to change your lock combination. The design of your lock might defer from the illustrations below, this has however no influence on the process of setting the lock code. For the lock on each side of the suitcase a different combination can be used.

Step 1: Pressing the reset button

To start setting a new code it is necessary to input the currently set code. If the suitcase has been newly delivered please turn the dials to the default combination 0-0-0.

Afterwards, set the switch at the side of the lock to reset to start setting a new combination.

Please note: The switch can only be set to 'RESET' if the correct combination has been entered. If you do not know the currently set code please follow the instructions on our customer service pages related to forgotten lock codes.

Step 2: Enter new combination

Use the dials and set them to the combination of your
choice. Once you have set your combination please make sure that the dials are completely aligned and that the dial is not set between two numbers.

Step 3: Complete Setup

After you have set your new combination you can move the reset button back to its initial position. Your new combination is now saved.

You have finished the setup successfully. You can return to this instruction at any time to change your the combination to a new one.

Important warning

Please do not insert keys, screwdrivers or other objects into the keyhole of the lock. This will result in damages to the lock cylinder making the lock unusable.
